Solutions to the Apple Watch alarm clock problem

Solutions to the Apple Watch alarm clock problem

It is annoying when the alarm clock on your Apple Watch does not go off even though you have set it. Fortunately, there are a number of possible solutions to this problem. Below, we discuss these solutions one by one.

Check which days the alarm clock is set to

You may have set an alarm clock only on weekdays. In this case, it makes sense that no alarm clock will go off on weekends. Therefore, check the alarm clocks in the Clock app on your iPhone to see if an alarm is set for all days.

Try Siri settings

You can set an alarm clock using Siri by asking it with your voice. When you do this on your Apple Watch, you get a confirmation of the alarm clock being ready. Unfortunately, sometimes it happens that the alarm clock does not actually activate. If this happens more often, follow these steps to give Siri a push:

  1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.
  2. Tap the Siri menu and turn off Listen to 'Hey, Siri'.
  3. Restart your Apple Watch completely.
  4. Open Siri settings again and turn the switch back on.

Siri on the Apple Watch should now work properly again. Try resetting your alarm clocks via Siri and test this during the day first. Still not working? Then move on to the next solution. As of watchOS 8, Siri's interface is clearer and you can quickly open the Alarm Clock app from here to check.

Clear alarm clocks

If the above solutions do not help, you can also consider deleting the alarm clocks. This will reset the alarm clocks and make them more likely to go off correctly. To clear the alarm clocks, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Clock app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap 'Alarm clocks'.
  3. Swipe left over the alarm clock you want to delete.
  4. Tap 'Delete'.

Repeat these steps for all the alarm clocks you want to remove. If you then set new alarm clocks, they are more likely to go off correctly.
