Only the cracked glass is replaced; your original display is retained. Suitable when image and touch still work properly, without spots or lines.

What iPhone 17 Pro Max owners come in with
The iPhone 17 Pro Max has the largest display in the lineup. More glass means more surface a drop can hit. At FIXNOW in Antwerp and Wolvertem, we therefore see almost exclusively screen damage for this model. These are the issues owners come in with.

iPhone 17 Pro Max screen replacement: what you can expect
For this new model, a drop is almost the only reason for a screen repair. Often it’s not as bad as it looks: only the outer glass is cracked and the display underneath still works fine. In that case we replace just the glass. Your original Apple screen with 120Hz stays in place.
Is the display itself affected? Spots, streaks, or a screen that no longer responds to touch point to that. In that case we replace the full screen, so it displays and responds again as it should. We rarely see other damage on this model. If the back panel is broken anyway, or the battery starts to fail over time, we repair that too — separately. Only what’s actually needed gets replaced; the rest of your device stays as Apple built it.
