Not much preparation is needed. If possible, back up via iCloud or your computer, and keep your access code handy — for services like transferring data, access to the device is required. Did your iPhone get wet? Turn it off right away, don't charge it, remove the case, and don't dry it in the sun or near a heat source — come by as soon as possible. You can make an appointment online, or you can mail it in if you can't come by.

With a regular repair — like screen, battery, or back glass — your photos, contacts, and apps stay right on the device. After each repair we thoroughly test your iPhone 17 Pro before you get it back. One exception: with a lockout reset (forgotten passcode), Apple's security causes data loss unless you have an iCloud backup. Making a backup beforehand is always smart anyway.
