What to look out for

Do you feel loose edges or shards? Touch them as little as possible.
Does your iPhone still charge wirelessly? If not, the damage may go deeper than the glass.
Do the cameras still work normally? A crack close to the lens is more likely to point to more than cosmetic damage.
Did the device get wet after the crack appeared? Mention that when you come in.

Why it's better not to keep using it like this

Dust and moisture work their way through the cracks right to components that are supposed to be protected from them. Wireless charging can suffer too: the MagSafe components sit just behind the back glass.

The longer you wait, the higher the chance that more than just the glass gets damaged.

How we replace your back panel

On most iPhones, the back glass is glued onto the housing. That's why we remove the broken glass with a precise laser technique. Your device stays closed, and the battery and screen stay exactly where they are.
