What is usually going on with an iPhone Duo that comes in
The iPhone Duo is Apple's first foldable iPhone, and that changes what can go wrong. A device held open in the hand has two screens that can be affected by a fall, and in the first few weeks you still need to get used to opening and closing it. Sand or dust getting into the fold is also something owners of a classic iPhone never had to deal with.

If only the outer glass of your iPhone Duo is cracked and the compact outer screen still works normally, at FIXNOW we replace only that glass, just as with a classic iPhone. Ceramic Shield protects this outer screen, but it is not unbreakable in a fall onto a hard surface.
The large inner screen works differently. The camera is built in under the glass there and everything is thinner and more fragile, so we always replace that screen as one complete module: a separate glass repair is not possible for the inner screen. This way the new screen lines up neatly with the fold again.
Batteries and the hinge of the iPhone Duo
The iPhone Duo has two batteries, one in each half; for a battery repair we measure both and replace whatever is needed. We do not offer the titanium hinge itself as a stand-alone repair; if the fold feels stiff or has play in it, we look at that on a case-by-case basis. Make a back-up before any repair and turn off Find My; you are welcome for this in Antwerp and Wolvertem, and if you would rather not come in, the device can also be sent in.
