Switch repairs by type of problem
Not every model has the same parts, so what we offer differs per device. You can find the price of each repair per model on this page.
- Switch screen replacement is possible on all four consoles. If the picture still works, the Switch and the Switch Lite can also have only the touch glass replaced.
- Switch not charging: think of a broken port, a weak battery or a defective charging chip.
- Switch will not turn on: for that we look at the motherboard.
- No picture on the TV in the dock: on the Switch and the Switch OLED, the cause is sometimes a chip on the motherboard.
- Game card reader and fan replacement is possible on all four consoles. Cleaning dust and thermal interface is possible on the Switch and the Switch OLED.
- Controllers: stick drift, a weak battery and unreliable buttons can be repaired. That applies to the Joy-Con, the Joy-Con 2 and the Switch Pro Controller. The latter can also get a new USB-C port.
- Switch Lite: the controls are built in, so for stick drift the console has to be opened. With drift you have a choice: one new stick, or new TMR sticks for both.
- Water damage: we clean and examine the console, and afterwards you hear what can still be repaired.
Try these first, without opening anything
- Turn the console off and on again, because a system that freezes can sometimes look like a defect
- Try another game card. If that one works, the first card is the problem
- No picture on the TV? Swap the HDMI cable and try another input on the TV
- A Joy-Con that moves on its own? Test the stick in the system menu before you blame a game
- Leave the opening to us, because removing a USB-C port or chip requires micro-soldering
