The Switch 2 has two USB-C ports, one on top and one at the bottom, and both are soldered to the motherboard. A port that comes loose or stops charging therefore calls for micro-soldering, as does a charging chip that blocks charging. In addition, FIXNOW replaces a cracked screen or a game card reader that no longer reads games. So your Switch 2 does not have to be thrown away.

Common problems with the Switch 2
The Switch 2 has a larger LCD screen than the first Switch. The two USB-C ports and the fan can also cause trouble.
- Charging no longer works, not even with another cable or charger
- The screen stays black while the console seems to be running
- A game card is not detected, however often you reinsert it
- The fan rattles or blows noticeably louder than before
- The battery is empty after only a short time
- After a spilled drink, the console shows no sign of life
Switch 2: soldered ports and charging chip
Both USB-C ports of the Switch 2 are soldered to the motherboard: one on top, the other at the bottom. A port that has come loose or is damaged is therefore replaced by micro-soldering.
If charging stays off, the charging chip may be the cause. It is also on the motherboard. FIXNOW first checks the port and the battery and replaces the chip only if that turns out to be necessary.
If the console no longer starts up, the motherboard itself may be the cause. We start with a diagnosis and discuss the price before we begin.
Game cards and fan of the Switch 2
If the console no longer reads your game cards, we replace the game card reader. We also replace a fan that rattles or grinds, and a damaged screen gets a new one.
After contact with liquid, we clean and examine the motherboard. Whether repair is still possible depends on the damage. You can drop the console off in Antwerp or Wolvertem. If you live further away, you send the Switch 2 to us yourself.
