What can you check yourself?

Just the glass, or the whole screen module?

That depends on exactly what’s broken. If the display and touch still work normally, a glass repair is usually enough. If you see lines or spots, or touch no longer responds, we replace the full module with original Samsung parts.

Watch out for a cracked screen

Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip: two screens and a film

On the foldable Z models, the glass-only story above does not apply. The folding inner screen is an OLED panel with ultra-thin glass and a protective film on top; the outer screen is a separate part. A lifting film is not screen damage, and a line in the image does not disappear with a new film.

Does the image drop out when opening or closing, or does the device no longer open flat? Then we also look at the flex cable through the hinge and at the hinge itself. Flex cable, hinge, frame, film and outer screen are replaced as separate parts on Fold and Flip; what needs replacing is determined after checking the device.
