We fix that with a new stick, or with a TMR stick, which has no sliding contact that can wear out, so it holds up much longer. We also repair a battery that drains quickly or a button that clicks without responding. That saves you from buying a new Joy-Con 2.

What can go wrong with a Joy-Con 2
The Joy-Con 2 clicks magnetically onto the Switch 2 and has a built-in battery. The sticks are ordinary potentiometer sticks, and those can start to drift.

Stick drift on the Joy-Con 2: classic or TMR stick
In a classic potentiometer stick, a contact slides over a track. That movement wears down both the contact and the track, and then the stick sends signals while your thumb is not moving.
We fix drift on a single Joy-Con 2 with a new classic stick. If you want to renew the sticks of both Joy-Con 2 controllers, you choose TMR sticks. A TMR stick works without a sliding contact and therefore lasts much longer.
If you use the Joy-Con 2 every day, TMR is worth considering. If you play now and then, a classic stick is a fine choice. In both cases we first establish whether the stick really is the cause.

If a Joy-Con 2 runs flat after a short time, we replace the built-in battery. We also repair buttons that stick and triggers that no longer respond properly.
