iPhone 12 Mini back glass replacement

We do not recommend it. The back glass is glued to the housing; at FIXNOW we remove it with laser equipment that heats the adhesive residue — extremely precise and without opening the device. Without that equipment, the housing does need to be opened, with risk of damage to internal components and thus additional costs. This applies to the entire iPhone 12 range: let the replacement be done by our technicians, and you'll also get a warranty on it.

The price at the top of this page is the complete price, including tax and labor: the new back glass, installation with laser technique and final check. You pay nothing upfront, and you get a warranty on materials and workmanship.

1. Assessment — we inspect the glass and housing and advise on the best type of replacement glass.
2. Laser technique — the laser system heats and removes adhesive residue, after which the cracked glass comes off in small pieces. The housing remains intact.
3. Installation of new glass — the housing is cleaned, surface damage is repaired and the new glass is carefully bonded. You choose from original Apple glass in various colors or a quality alternative.
4. Final check — all functions and the water resistance of your device are tested before you get your iPhone back.

Normally we only replace the cracked back glass — the back glass. We do this with a laser technique: the damaged glass is removed and new glass is installed without having to open the housing of your iPhone 12 mini. Internal components remain untouched — this saves you money on extra repairs, such as screen replacement — and the original frame is preserved. If the edges are also damaged, with dents or a bent frame, a complete housing replacement is possible in which all internal components are safely transferred; we'll review this together during the assessment.

The back glass protects the internal components of your iPhone 12 mini from dust, dirt and moisture. Have it replaced as soon as you notice this:

• Cracks or splits in the glass — small cracks can develop into larger breaks.
• Sharp edges or protrusions — risk of cuts to your fingers.
• Splinters breaking off — the glass loses its protective function.
