Apple Watch battery replacement

Does your Apple Watch already need charging by midday, or does it shut down while there's still charge left? Usually the watch itself isn't the problem — the battery is. At FIXNOW you get an original battery fitted in Antwerp or Wolvertem, often while you wait. Your health data and settings simply stay as they are.

Not sure whether a replacement is needed? Below you'll find the signs of a worn battery and how we go about it. Choose your model above for the fixed price.

Sound familiar?

Check it yourself

  • Your Watch already needs the charger again before evening
  • It shuts down mid-workout while there was still charge left
  • Full in the morning, but the charge drops noticeably fast afterwards
  • Sleep tracking cuts off because the Watch doesn't make it through the night
  • The watch responds slowly to taps and swipes

Every battery wears down with charging. That's normal, not a defect. Check it yourself: open Settings on your Watch, tap Battery, then Battery Health. If the maximum capacity is low, replacement is worthwhile. If the value is still high but the watch still drains fast, come by. We measure the condition first before replacing anything. If the battery turns out to still be fine, we'll simply tell you and look further for the cause.

Watch out: swollen battery

Stop charging

  • The battery sits directly under the screen. If it swells, it pushes the screen out of the housing and you'll see a gap along the edge
  • In that case, stop putting the Watch on the charger and bring it in quickly
  • A swollen battery otherwise also damages the screen and the seal, making the repair bigger than necessary
  • Has your Watch been wet and has the battery been acting up since? Then we run a diagnosis first before promising anything

Every model, every case size

We replace the battery on virtually every model: from the Series 7 and Series 8 to the Watch SE 3, the Series 11 and the Ultra 2 and Ultra 3, in all case sizes. A larger case holds a larger battery, so the price depends on your model. Not sure which model you're wearing? It's engraved on the back of the case, or you can find it in the Watch app on your iPhone under General > About.

How we replace the battery

1

Opening via the screen

We warm the edge to soften the adhesive and gently lift the screen. The short cables between the screen and case require patience.

2

Swapping the battery

The old battery comes loose from the adhesive layer, and the new original battery goes in.

3

Resealing

Before closing it up, we apply fresh adhesive and sealing strips. Old adhesive never seals properly again.

4

Full test

Touchscreen, digital crown, heart rate sensor, the haptic tap on your wrist, and charging on the puck: everything gets checked.

We do many replacements while you wait. Don't live near Antwerp or Wolvertem? You can also mail in your Watch.

An honest note

  • A watch that has been opened is never quite as water-resistant again as it was from the factory, no matter how carefully we reseal it
  • Washing your hands and getting caught in the rain are not a problem, but be careful with swimming after the repair
