Google Pixel battery replacement

Does your Google Pixel already need the charger before noon? Or does it shut down while the meter says there's still enough left? Then the battery is almost certainly worn out. That's normal wear: every charge cycle costs a bit of capacity.

Below you'll recognize the signs, check the battery status on your device, and read how we handle the replacement. Then choose your model on this page for the fixed price.

Choose your model

Does this sound like your Pixel?

Check it yourself

  • Your Pixel lasts less time than it used to and needs recharging several times a day.
  • The device shuts down while the meter still shows charge, especially in the cold or while cycling with navigation on.
  • Charging behaves oddly: the percentage jumps back and forth, or the device gets warm on the charger.
  • The back panel lifts up or the device no longer sits flat on a table.
  • Your Pixel feels slower. Android throttles performance when the battery can no longer handle the peaks.

From the Pixel 8a onward, you can check the condition yourself: Settings, Battery, Battery Health. There you'll see how much capacity remains compared to a new unit. Older models like the Pixel 6 and 7 series don't show that figure. In that case, just come in to Antwerp or Wolvertem: we measure the battery with our own equipment and tell you honestly whether replacement is already worthwhile. If the battery is still fine, you'll hear that too.

How we handle the replacement

1

Diagnosis

We measure the battery and rule out that the issue comes from somewhere else, such as a charging port full of lint or an app running in the background. You know where you stand beforehand.

2

Removing the glass back panel

On most Pixels, the battery sits behind the glass back panel, which is glued around the edges. We warm the edge and cut the adhesive loose without breaking the glass.

3

Replacing the battery

The old cell is also glued in place. We loosen it with heat and patience, without bending it. Then we fit an original battery made for your model.

4

Testing and closing up

We test charging and performance under load, then close up the device with new adhesive strips.

Most battery replacements are done while you wait. Foldable models like the Pixel Fold and the Pixel 9 Pro Fold require more disassembly work; for those we'll agree on when you can pick up the device. We don't touch your data: your photos and apps are on the device exactly as they were before the repair.

Watch out in these situations

Important

  • Is the back panel bulging, or does the device no longer sit flat? Then the battery is swelling. Stop charging it and use the device as little as possible: a swollen cell will force the screen and housing apart and break them.
  • Has your Pixel suffered water damage and drained quickly ever since? Then we won't blindly replace the battery. We examine the whole device first, since moisture rarely damages just the battery.
  • After the repair, the new seal doesn't fully match the factory seal. So be a bit more careful around water than before.

Fixed price per model

A compact Pixel 7a has a different battery than a Pixel 10 Pro XL, and foldable models involve more work. So choose your model in the price list first: you'll immediately see the fixed price and the warranty period. You only pay after the repair, at FIXNOW in Antwerp or Wolvertem.
