Only the glass is cracked, LCD panel still fine?
This repair is possible as long as the LCD panel in your iPad Air 2 is itself still intact: the display and touch continue to work normally, only the glass on top is damaged. The original LCD panel stays in place, and only the glass layer is replaced. This means the whole module does not need to be swapped.
