The OLED panel in your iPhone 13 Pro Max handles both the display and touch input as a single unit. During a screen repair, this panel is replaced as a complete module, so colour, brightness and touch response stay consistent with each other. The camera, speaker and other components around the screen are not affected.
If the display and touch on your iPhone 13 Pro Max still work normally, there is also an option where only the glass on top of the OLED panel is replaced, instead of the whole screen. This option is usually more affordable than a full panel replacement. More about glass replacement

Mijn Iphone 13 pro max had heel wat haarfijne krassen op het scherm (ja ik zie nu wel het nut van een beschermglas in). En de batterij was ook aan vervanging toe. Via de website een duidelijke prijsofferte gekregen en een afspraak gemaakt om het scherm te laten polijsten en de batterij laten te vervangen. Eens daar aangekomen heeft men de gsm bekeken en is er in overleg toch geopteerd om het glas van het scherm te vervangen daar er te veel krassen in het originele glas waren. 1.5u later was het toestel klaar, nieuw glas en batterij. Super correcte service!
