Check the battery health yourself
On recent OnePlus models you can check this via Settings, Battery, Battery Health. If the capacity shown there is clearly lower than new, replacement is worth considering. Differences between OnePlus models
The Nord series has a smaller battery and charges at a gentler pace. The main series and the R models combine a large battery with very fast charging, and the newest devices are sealed more tightly, which makes opening them more involved. Each model needs its own battery and its own opening sequence. Our technicians know these differences per device.
How we replace the battery
Diagnosis
We measure the current battery and first confirm that replacement is the right solution.
Securing the device
We switch the device off completely and disconnect the power internally.
Opening the housing
We carefully loosen the adhesive edges. The cables inside a OnePlus are fragile; patience matters here.
Replacing the battery
Old battery out, original OnePlus battery in, connectors reattached and the seal renewed.
Testing
We charge with an original fast charger, monitor the temperature and check that everything works normally.
