In the Xbox menu the selection slides down on its own, or your character keeps walking after you have let go of the stick. That is stick drift: a worn stick that passes on a movement that is not there. It can occur on the Xbox Wireless Controller of the Series X and Series S and on the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2.

Price per model
On the Xbox Wireless Controller we replace one stick by default, namely the stick that drifts. The sticks are soldered to the circuit board, so that is work for a technician.
If you want the sticks to last much longer, we replace both with TMR sticks. TMR sticks lack the sliding contact that wears: they read the movement with a magnet, based on the Hall effect principle.
The Xbox Elite Controller gets a new stick, and we do not offer TMR sticks for this model.
