For most hardware repairs (screen, battery, camera glass), your data will remain on your device. For a lock reset, the data on your device will be lost unless you have a Google or cloud backup — we'll let you know beforehand. For safety, make your own backup before you come in.

For some Pixel 9 Pro XL devices, Google offers free screen replacement for certain display defects (like vertical lines or flickering without visible damage). This doesn't apply if your screen is cracked, the cover glass is damaged, there's water damage or a previous repair by a third party, and it depends on your model and region. We'll first check if your device qualifies; if not, we'll discuss a repair at FIXNOW with you.

If the display and touch still work well and only the glass is cracked, often just replacing the glass is enough. If you see vertical lines, a flickering screen, stripes, black spots or the touch doesn't respond, the display module itself is damaged and we'll replace the full screen. Unsure?
