Component levelThe MacBook does not react at all, not even on the charger or with a different adapter and cable: no fan, no sound, no keyboard backlight.
- We first measure with a USB-C tester what the MacBook draws from the charger: that often already points the way
- Then we measure the power circuit on the logic board and repair the faulty component, for example a short circuit or a power or charging chip
- Your original logic board stays in the MacBook
Won’t charge (charging chip)
The MacBook no longer charges through any USB-C port or MagSafe, even with a different adapter or cable.
- We first check the adapter, cable and the ports themselves
- Then we repair the charging circuit on the logic board
Photo and data recovery
Specialist workThe MacBook no longer starts, and it holds photos, documents or other data without a backup.
Please give us your login password if you can, so we can test everything after the repair. If the logic board is badly burnt or the memory chips themselves are damaged, neither the board nor the data can be saved.
- On MacBooks with a T2 chip or Apple silicon, storage is soldered to the logic board: the data can only be read once that board works again
- So we repair the logic board first, then read out the data
Stuck on the Apple logo
After diagnosisThe MacBook gets stuck on the Apple logo, keeps restarting, or shows a folder with a question mark, even after restarting with a good battery.
In recovery mode, choose to reinstall macOS, not to erase the disk.
- A folder with a question mark usually points to a startup disk that cannot be found; we first check whether storage or software is the cause
- If the fault is on the logic board, we repair it there
Motherboard after water damage
After water damageAfter coffee, water or another liquid, the MacBook no longer starts, keeps shutting down or no longer charges. This can also happen months after the spill: corrosion works slowly.
Water-damage repairs carry no warranty: moisture or early corrosion can still affect the MacBook later.
- We repair the affected components on the logic board
- The regular water-damage cleaning happens first, as a separate service
- We only start this repair after your approval
Black screen, MacBook still runs (backlight)
After diagnosisThe MacBook is running: the fan spins, you hear the startup sound or the keyboard backlight comes on, but the built-in screen stays black. An external screen often still shows an image.
If the display cable or screen turns out to be the cause, that falls outside this service; we discuss that after the diagnosis.
- We test whether the cause is the backlight circuit on the logic board, the display cable, or the screen itself
- If the cause is on the logic board, we repair it there
