What kind of damage do iPhone XS Max devices come in with at FIXNOW?
The iPhone XS Max is an older model in the lineup, and this usually shows on the screen and the glass back. A drop on the street or a knock against the edge of a table is often enough to crack one of the two, and the battery and charging port also tend to act up more often as the device gets older. This is what we commonly see with this model:
- Crack in the screen glass after a fall, while the display and touch still work normally
- Glass back cracked or come loose after an impact
- Battery is worn out and the device drains faster than it used to
- Device charges slowly, or the cable has to sit at a certain angle to make contact
iPhone XS Max screen replacement: what are your options?
If only the front glass is cracked and the display and touch still work normally, the whole screen doesn’t need to be replaced. In that case, FIXNOW replaces only the glass, and the device’s original OLED panel stays in place.
If the display itself shows spots or lines, or the screen no longer responds to touch across its surface, the whole screen needs replacing. For the iPhone XS Max, this can be done with a full original screen, an OLED copy, or, as a more affordable alternative, an LCD copy. Repair or replace?
Buying a new device is a significant expense, especially if the rest of your iPhone XS Max still works fine.
