What complaints bring an iPhone XS in to FIXNOW?
The iPhone XS is by now an older device in our range, and that shows in the complaints we see. It’s often damage after a drop, sometimes just parts wearing out after years of use. Here’s what comes up most:
- Back glass cracked or broken after a drop
- Front glass cracked, while the display still works fine
- Battery draining noticeably faster than before
- Device charging slowly or sometimes not charging at all
Replacing the back of an iPhone XS: what are the options?
On an iPhone XS, the back is glass, so a crack there is separate from the display or the battery. The rest of the device usually keeps working normally and we only replace the back panel, leaving the camera and the rest of the housing untouched. You can read more about back panel replacement.
If the display itself is cracked, it’s always replaced as a complete module, because on this model there’s no separate glass apart from the OLED panel. You can choose between an original screen, an OLED copy, or a more affordable LCD copy, depending on what matters to you. See the options for screen replacement.
All your photos, apps and settings simply stay in place during the repair, so you won’t need to set anything up again afterwards. You can drop by our store in Antwerp or Wolvertem, or send in the device if a visit doesn’t suit you.
Repair or replace?
An iPhone XS is no longer a new model, but that doesn’t mean a repair is pointless. If the rest of the device still works properly, a new display or a new back is usually cheaper than a brand new device, and all your data simply stays in place. If you’re still unsure or would rather move on, you can sell your iPhone XS instead of having it repaired.

Een gebarsten iPhone-scherm op een zondag is nooit gepland, dus fijn dat we die schermreparatie in Antwerpen dezelfde namiddag nog rond kregen. Dat het toestel er weer als nieuw uitziet, maakt de extra uren meer dan waard. Veel plezier ermee, en je zoon hopelijk ook!
