What iPhone X owners come in with
The iPhone X was the first iPhone with an OLED screen. By now it's an older device, and you'll notice it first in the battery and the screen. This is what we see coming in most often:
- The battery doesn't last the evening anymore, even with light use
- The device shuts down while the battery doesn't seem to be empty yet
- A crack, spiderweb pattern, or star crack in the screen glass
- Black spots, lines, or a dim image on the OLED screen

iPhone X battery replacement: what to expect
On this model, the battery is usually the first part due for replacement. After years of charge cycles, the battery holds less charge, and you feel that especially during the day. A new battery brings the runtime back to what you were used to with your iPhone X.
With a broken screen, we first check exactly what's damaged. The OLED screen consists of an outer glass layer with the display underneath. In a drop, often only that glass breaks; the image and touch response still work fine. In that case, we replace only the glass and your original OLED screen stays in place. If you see spots, lines, or a part of the image that no longer responds, the screen module itself is affected and we fit a new one.
